Extravagant building with an apsidal hall and mosaic floors on the south foothill of the Acropolis. It is considered to be the residence and school of the philosopher Proclus, head of the Neoplatonic School of Athens between AD 437 and AD 485. In one of the rooms the remnants of a mystic ritual ceremony were found whereas near the house's entrance a small domestic shrine dedicated to Cybele and other gods was built with the re-use of older sculptures.
